Agronomy Lab

About us

The agronomy laboratory includes research on rice and dryland crops. We select and breed different characteristic varieties to give consumers diverse choices while increasing farmers' income.

For the rice, we focus on the improvement of rice varieties, the collection and investigation of rice germplasm, and the advancement of cultivation techniques.

We inherit the experience of traditional rice breeding and cultivation improvement accumulated over the years, incorporating novel concepts such as mutation molecular-assisted breeding and utilizing wild rice to introduce favorable genes to continuously broaden the genetic diversity in rice cultivars.

Researches on dryland crops emphasize two major crops, corn and peanut. We will strengthen the improvement of feed corn varieties, improving the quality of peanuts and corn with local flavor and the quality of processed products.
