Plants possess various nutritious active ingredients which are required for human health. We study the special ingredients to verify their bioactivities and propose the scheme of their applications. The target plants include agricultural crops, Chinese medicines, local herbs, etc. The main works involve collection of plant germplasm, selection of desirable traits and establishment of manufacturing system for industrialization. The techniques of extraction, separation and evaluation of the bioactive ingredients are developed. The preliminary safety of raw materials is also evaluated. All the efforts are devoted to multiply the agricultural value by enhancing the utilization of the diversified valuable crops.
