This lab focuses on bacterial diseases on citrus, cucurbit vegetables and solanaceous vegetables. The research activities cover disease diagnosis, pathogen identification, ecological aspects of the etiology, understanding of resistance mechanism, selection of resistant varieties, establishment of conventional and molecular diagnostic identification and early detection techniques, and formulation of integrated disease management strategies.
