The Division’s research program concentrates on citrus, lychee, longan, pineapple, avocado, banana, coffee and other exotic tropical and subtropical fruit trees. The R&D activities include the collection, conservation and utilization of genetic resources; varietal improvement; flowering and fruiting physiology; improvement of cultivation technologies; fruit quality analyses; development and application of postharvest processing; and development of new fruits from exotic tropical and subtropical fruit trees.
