Abstract:

    There are no wild and relatives of Mangifera indica L. in Taiwan. All cultivars were introduced. The selection and breeding programs were started since 1970. To date, there are abundant mango genetic resources in Taiwan. Rigorous and detailed passport data and characteristics data are the basic for germplasm utilization. Eleven accessions of mango conserved at Plant Germplasm Division and Fengshan Tropical Horticultural Experiment Branch, Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute were characterized for future utilization.
