Trees of Guava variety ‘Tainung 1’ or ‘Emperor’ are strong and high-yield, averaging 35 tonnes of fruit per hectare. Fruits are medium to large in size, with a greenish-yellow rind and thick, white flesh that is crispy and rich in total soluble solids (TSS), vitamin C (88-266 mg/100g) and antioxidants. Fruits can be stored for 3-4 weeks at 1℃ in order to be maintained at high quality during storage and transportation.
