Strawberry ‘Tainung No. 1’

Variety Characteristics

    Plant shape is large leaves, semi-upright type. The color of the conical fruit is dark red, and the flesh of the longitudinal section is red. After planting in early October every year in Taiwan, the flowering period and fruit maturity period to more than 50% start in mid-November and in early December, respectively. The average hardness of the fruits cultivated in facilities is 0.75-0.98 kg/cm2, the sweetness range is 8.55-10.44 °Brix, and the acidity range is 0.27-0.36%, with mellow frankincense and fruit acid aroma. The fresh food flavor is very good, also suitable for baking cake decoration or making top jams and desserts.
