Variety Characteristics

    The plant produces small leaves, red, oval-shaped fruits with a deep nutty aroma and flavor, short branching intervals, aggressive growth, and could be cultivated at low and med-altitudes in Taiwan. The leaves have twice as much chlorogenic acid as typical coffee kinds and might be used to make coffee leaf tea, which would add value to the development of other products.
